Announcing Our Latest Appointment
Munro Doig is pleased to announce Yikai Hoe’s appointment to the position of Associate from 1 July 2015.
Yikai joined Munro Doig in February 2010 as a solicitor in Ron Doig’s superannuation team.
Yikai completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia in 2006. He also has a Bachelor of Science (Pharmacology) degree with Honours researching the effects of cannabinoids on short term memory.
Straight from university, he joined one of Perth’s “Big 4” accounting firms working as a tax consultant in the areas of Indirect Tax and State Duties. During that time, he also completed the NSW College of Laws program and was admitted as a legal practitioner in both the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia.
After a three year career practising in tax, he decided it was time pursue his legal career and he joined Munro Doig. At Munro Doig, he practises in the areas of superannuation law, tax and state duties, commercial law, trusts and estate planning.
Yikai spent most of his early life on Christmas Island. He speaks several Chinese dialects including Cantonese, Hokkien and Mandarin. Outside of work, he enjoys a good karaoke session, listening to music and spending time with his family. He aspires to write his own song one day and would also like to play a proper game of golf.
